During EURO'2012, I was working in Wroclaw with the responsibility of all matters relating to the sports part of the matches in Wroclaw: teams, pitch, ceremonies, referees and all matters having an impact on the sporting aspect and the pitch. UEFA, the European Governing Body of Football and the Organiser of EURO'2012, hired me a as a freelance expert as I have been active in large sports events for the last 20 years. The Organising Committee of EURO’2012 in Wroclaw assigned me JAROSLAW JABLONSKI as a volunteer during the last five days of preparation and the period of the three matches in Wroclaw. We worked at the stadium to make final preparations and the day-to-day activities surrounding the match organization itself. This included interaction with the playing at the stadium, the referees as well as many people from catering, television, infrastructure maintenance, volunteers and the like. I have been very lucky to work with Jaroslaw, as he was able to support me immediately upon my arrival in Wroclaw. With a minimum of instructions, he was able to handle many tasks and responsibilities I delegated to him. Most importantly, Jaroslaw showed me that I was going to be able to trust him, by executing tasks given to him in a timely manner and asking questions if anything was not clear. This made my work easier and after a few days of working with Jaroslaw, I knew that not only was Jaroslaw going to complete the projects assigned to him, but I knew he was going to do them well and in time. Perhaps the best compliment Jaroslaw received, indirectly, when several seasoned professionals who were working with me at the event told me they wished they would have full-time employees like Jaroslaw to make their work more efficient. I can say that in summary, Jaroslaw fully contributed to the success of my projects at EURO'2012 in Wroclaw.
